Arthritis Research UK appoints Kindred
Arthritis Research UK, the charity leading the fight against arthritis, has hired Kindred for a six-month project to promote its new fundraising event series, which is taking place at three sites across England this year. The events, called Move, are taking place in Newcastle, Guildford and Worksop between May and July and encourage individuals and families to take part in fun activities for all ages and abilities. Kindred is tasked with raising awareness of the events in regional media and thereby increasing take-up of the events, ahead of a potential nationwide rollout next year.
Charlotte Tyler, Consumer Communications Manager at Arthritis Research UK commented on the appointment: “With arthritis affecting around one in six people in the UK, we believe the time is right for an event series that promotes the importance of movement in alleviating the symptoms of arthritis, as well as raising money to fund further research into the disease. We look forward to working with Kindred to deliver this year’s events as a springboard to going national with the events in 2013.”
